5 of 5 Holy Cow! (I cleaned it up a bit.) September 12, 2023

I expected lower weight.  According to my scale I save 30 lbs!!!  I expected better sound.  Civil enough puttering around town but throaty on the road.  I expected better HP and torque but this is exceptional.

The only issue I had was dealing with the clutch cable on a Continental GT.  I melted some plastic into the inner so it's a little snatchy but I'll pick up a new cable tomorrow.

Don't do it without the A/C upgrade but with that, you'll be surprised at the performance increase.

5 of 5 Great Exhaust December 21, 2022

The weight difference between the stock exhaust and the Stinger is noticeable even just moving the bike around the garage. The sound of the exhaust is incredible and the low profile design is awesome. Tec's customer service is top notch and they're always willing to send out any parts you may have messed up. The only advice I can give is to make sure you really take your time with the graphite gasket and use a graphite lube.

5 of 5 Brutal install, brilliant exhaust November 7, 2022

Genius for the weight savings alone. With that being said, and five stars gladly issued, I have to say (to the folks at Tec): Please, PLEASE, for the love of God, find a different band clamp to include with this system.

It took me over a month--and, as Dave can attest, multiple emails and shipments--to figure out why I had a persistent leak where the short header piece connects to the long. I thought I was over-tightening them, even though in retrospect it should have been obvious that the clamps were at issue, since the bolt threads would fall apart after moderately high tightening. Out of desperation, I ordered a sturdier 1.5 inch clamp on my own, and it immediately tightened enough to crush the graphite gasket as intended. Then the system was literally exactly as advertised!

In conclusion: With this system, a 650 continental rides like a totally different, more enjoyable, better sounding bike. Don't let extremely poor quality band clamps throw the whole system into disarray.

5 of 5 Couldn't be happier. October 6, 2022

A bit rowdy with the baffle removed, but a great improvement over stock exhaust note either way. Subjectively appears to rev faster.  No denying the benefits of 7% reduction in the total bike weight.  A much thinner profile than the high and wide stock pipes.

5 of 5 Nice sound, low weight, removable baffle July 9, 2022

For this price, I don’t know how you can beat this exhaust. With the baffle out it is pretty loud. I usually ride with the baffle in as the exhaust note is lower but not terribly loud. Install was straightforward with hand tools following their YouTube video.
